Welcome to My Lipedema Journey, a supportive hub for women facing lipedema challenges. Discover resources and community to guide your unique path.

Welcome to your Lipedema Journey
This space was created with deep care for women navigating the confusing and emotional early stages of a lipedema diagnosis or even just suspecting they may have it. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the flood of information out there, you’re not alone.
Your Lipedema Journey is here to gently guide you through it.
While we don’t partner with insurance providers or surgeons, we empower you to become your own best advocate. We offer education, tools, and support to help you confidently make informed decisions about your health and care.
The road isn’t easy, and some days feel heavier than others but here, you’ll always have a place of understanding and direction.
You are seen. You are supported. You are not alone on this path.
What is Lipedema?
Lipedema is a condition where fat builds up in certain spots - usually your hips, butt, thighs, calves, and sometimes upper arms. Notice how hands and feet stay out of it? Yep, it plays favorites.
It often gets mistaken for being overweight or for lymphedema, but it’s its own thing (though it can eventually lead to lymphedema). And here’s the frustrating part: dieting and exercise don’t shrink these areas. You might slim down up top, but your lower body holds on tight.
Many women with lipedema also have a higher BMI, but this isn’t about willpower. It’s a real condition, and knowing that can be the first step toward feeling less frustrated and more in control.
